Opportunities are plenty for those ready to accept the challenge.This opportunityManage the financial accounting and reporting for customer investment, retail, and inventory. Ensure that revenue and costs are accounted for in accordance with accounting policies and standards. You'll be faced with loads of variety where no two days are ever the same in a collaborative environment.Responsibilities

• Manage the inventory month end process to ensure all journals and reconciliations are done on a timely basis and in accordance with the monthly timetable ensuring that all processes are documented correctly.
• Ensure all inventory items are correctly valued in the accounts, and standard costs are set and maintained as per the existing accounting policy.
• Manage purchase price variance account including review of pricing decisions and monitoring of status of rebate accounts with vendors.
• Liaise with the logistics and BI team in identifying issues that may affect monthly transactions or affect the month-end deadlines.
• Be the Finance contact to the business areas relating to Retail Sales, COGS reporting and analysis, inventory queries and accounting questions relating to logistics and inventory.
• Review of provision including MPP Provision and slow moving and obsolete stock policy ensuring that all stock is carried at the lower of cost and net realisable value and issues are escalated appropriately.
• Manage the Balance Sheet reconciliations for all assigned account codes, investigate and resolve variance and comply with the TPG Telecom Governance guidelines.
• Understand the organization's accounting processes and add value by identifying areas that would benefit from process improvement.
• Manage preparation of half yearly and yearly audit requirements for PwC
• Adhere to TPG Telecom policies and procedures as introduced and varied from time to time
• Ad hoc Project work as required by the business.

Knowledge and experience

• CA / CPA qualified with inventory experience in a large, complex environment
• Strong communication skills and an ability to articulate financial language to nonaccountants.
• Commercial acumen to understand and analyse month end results.
• Ability to develop relationships with all stakeholders
• Active engagement with Financial Reporting, Finance Business Partnering and Tax & Treasury Teams
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box
