Belong at Home (CHC) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and solutions-focused person to join our team.
Belong at Home is a highly respected not-for-profit local organisation, providing a range of services to older people and their carers throughout the South West of WA, with offices in Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Collie, Donnybrook and Bridgetown. This role is based at Belong at Home’s Corporate Office in the Bunbury CBD.
The role requires a proactive, hands on leader who can develop excellent working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and facilitates the implementation of best practice through the organisation and achieves shared goals. The position leads a small team to provide a comprehensive suite of financial services to Belong at Home.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, our Finance Manager will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the organisation. The Finance Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all finance-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic and operational planning.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have/be:

- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise professionally with staff and clients to develop respectful and positive working relationships
- Strategically orientated with a willingness to be hands-on when required
- Demonstrated experience in governance, risk management, auditing practices and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of accounting standards, statutory and regulatory obligations
- Proficiency in long term financial planning, modelling, analysis and preparation/ interpretation of financial reports with expert commentary and presentation
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar, senior management level role (experience in the community services/ aged care sector would be highly regarded)
- Commerce/ Accounting Qualifications (CA/CPA qualifications would be highly regarded)
- Prior Xero experience would be an advantage
