Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a finance / ops team of two plus overseeing delivery of our outsourced payroll partner and providing daily support to your team
- Continue improving automation and work efficiency while implementing new procedures.
- Partner with the senior leadership team on strategic growth initiatives.
- Lead and manage annual budgeting and monthly forecasting meetings
- Prepare commission reports and work papers for consultants.
- Liaise and complete reports and audits for state and federal regulatory bodies including PRT, Workcover, Labour hire licenses, WGEA, and others.
- Analyse and critically review financial and management accounting reports to provide decision support, value-added analysis, and insights to stakeholders to drive improvements & efficiency.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the Finance department including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and compliance with Australian Taxation Legislation
- Preparing weekly PAYG, monthly superannuation compliance, quarterly BAS
- Preparing month end Balance Sheet, P&L, cash flow forecast and other management reports and investigating variances.
- Oversee month-end accounting processes, including reconciliations, and reporting consolidations.
- Assist with audits and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct analysis of financial data to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead cash flow management and forecasting efforts to optimize financial resources.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff.
- Maintain a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting work-life balance and professional growth opportunities.
- Supporting the management of annual financial audit. Liaison with external auditors.
- Ensure Management at all levels are provided with timely, accurate reports & advice to enhance & increase the performance of the business.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Recruitment Industry experience essential
- Proven experience in financial management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all our offices
- Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and informal work environment, with a passion for supporting employee growth and development.
