Finance Manager

Your new company 
Hays has partnered with a construction company who is on the lookout for a Finance Manager on a permanent basis, office located in the heart of Campbelltown.
Your new role 

• Report directly to the Director and assist the wider team to meet the business goals and objective
  
• This role is standalone with potentially one direct report (TBC); successful candidate must be motivated and able to work autonomously.
  
• Review, monitor and manage financial performance and reporting at a company
  
• BAS and payroll tax reporting
  
• Payroll
  
• Provide day to day support to the Director, including reporting, communication
  
• Undertake tasks associated with purchasing, the P&L, month end reporting, and all payables and receivables processes, including data entry and reporting
  
• Review estimates & contracts, including basic review of construction contracts
  
• Ensure company policies are adhered to and maintained
  
• Setting and maintaining company and job budgets
  
• Liaise with Project Managers to ensure jobs are performing as per fiscal budgets, labour, material costs, margins maintained, targets achieved
  
• Review and set targets for risk management, internal compliance and control, codes of conduct and legal compliance aligned to company procedures.
  
• Thinking creatively and innovatively to continually improve our service
  
• Supporting a culture that attracts, develops and retains a high-performing collaborative team
  

What you'll need to succeed 

• 5+ years experience in accounting, finance or bookkeeping roles
  
• Degree qualification
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally as well as externally
  
• Excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning, communication, organising and the ability to positively influence teams
  
• Self-motivated, able to demonstrate initiative and focus
  
• Interested in furthering your finance and business management career
