This is a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join their senior leadership team based in Ipswich. If successful, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the organisation and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Reporting to the CFO, this role has two direct reports (accounts payable and receivable across different locations) and will ensure accurate and consistent financial practices and reporting across all branches. Key responsibilities include:
- Management Accounting, Analysis and Audit
- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the organisation and its branches.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial goals with overall business aims and objectives.
- Develop and implement robust audit processes to ensure the integrity of all funds.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, reports, and analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Provide financial insights to aid in decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working closely with the Finance Director.
- Implement effective cash flow management policies and procedures.
- Cost Management
- Analyse cost structures and recommend strategies to optimise expense control.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets.
- Risk Management
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures. Review risk management procedures and update them where necessary to mitigate any risks
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team across multiple locations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sound reporting capability.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working in a multi-location environment is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
