Reporting to the General Manager, this important role is responsible for the management of the company’s financial resources and administration, including overseeing of all record keeping, business processes, data management, and preparation of timely and accurate financial accounts and reporting. It will suit someone that has exceptional interpersonal skills that leads by example as they uphold a positive company culture.
Success will also see you have expertise with
- Meeting statutory requirements.
- Preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Managing a small AP and AR team.
- Completing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and assisting in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Building positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Managing cash flow, debtors and creditors, and insurances.
- Prepare, analyse and communicate financial results.
- Budget/forecasting preparation, including tracking and analysis.
- Oversight and tracking of job costing.
- Responsible for co-ordination and completion of annual stock take.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the team.
This role is working onsite at our Melbourne head office located in Epping,
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- CA/CPA qualification with 5+ years’ experience.
- Proven experience in similar accounting roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong prioritisation skills, capable of handling complex tasks.
- Respect for the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exposure to ERP systems and data management (Epicor advantageous).
- Ability to work autonomously and lead teams.
- Experience in and understanding of SME/family businesses.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
