Provide varied finance support to the various divisions within CDU
About the Position
As a Finance Officer, you will provide financial services covering corporate financial activities such as budget development, financial management reporting, data integrity, financial reconciliation and compliance processes. In this broad role you'll provide agile support to the finance team and your duties will include:
- Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
- Assisting in the preparation of basic budgets for project costing or commercial work tendering when required
- Processing Cashbook journal according to University Accounting Policy
- Providing assistance in the preparation and production of the monthly financial accounts and variance analysis prepared for management
About You
To be successful, you will possess:
- Completion of a Degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting and education/training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable processes including financial transaction processing.
- Ability to be thorough, accurate and attentive to detail in processing transactions and checking compliance requirements. High standards of integrity and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.
- Professional and courteous communication interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a professional team to deliver high quality customer service.
- Sound organisational skills with a proven ability to be flexible, determine workload priorities, meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in word processing, working with spreadsheets and a range of computer application.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 5. The base salary will be in the range $67,931 to $78,478 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $79,479 to $91,819 per annum including 17% superannuation.
