AddressNT Cardiac Pty Ltd (NTC) is a Northern Territory owned and operated independent Cardiology Medical Practice which provides services to both public and private patients. The practice is dedicated to providing excellence in patient care, delivering the highest standard of health care across the Northern Territory.
Our specialist practice requires an energetic and motivated team member to fill a full-time Finance Officer position in our office at Darwin Private Hospital.
The Finance Officer is primarily responsible for issuing and reconciling practice billings. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Preparing and forwarding patient accounts / invoices to Medicare, DVA, private health insurers and other parties
- Reconciling incoming payments and following up unpaid patient accounts and invoices
- Preparing and reviewing reports to ensure all services are billed accurately and on a timely basis
- Assisting the Finance Manager with developing and maintaining departmental processes and with analysing business activity / trends
- Being the primary point of contact for team members and external parties for any billing and payment enquiries
This position would suit applicants that possess excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy and computer literacy skills (particularly use of Microsoft Excel), communication and organisational skills and is capable of working in a team environment and independently. Previous medical billing experience would be an advantage.
