As a Finance Officer, you will be reporting into the finance manager. Your main duties will be to:
- Receipting payments, handling insurance claim payments/enquiries
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Assist with end of month deliverables, including:
- Maintenance of fixed assets register.
- Expense analysis
- Journal posting.
- Resolving broker queries, etc.
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Weekly bank reconciliations
- Ad-hoc payroll assistance
- Banking administration
- Assist with cashflow and treasury functions.
- Assist with annual budgeting, internal and external audits, and other reporting as required.
- Provide admin support and perform other duties as deemed appropriate.
- 2- 5 years accounting experience
- Good excel skills and previous experience with ERP software (MYOB is a nice to have)
- Previous experience within the insurance space is HIGHLY desirable.
- Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude – detail oriented and energetic. Someone who is able to identify issues and resolve problems.
