ADAS stands for the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme. We are a not-for-profit organisation with international reach. ADAS is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offering accredited training via external training providers, certifying occupational divers and hyperbaric specialists. The role
You will undertake processing of new ADAS licenses, support the ADAS Learning Management System (LMS) and associated IT systems, provide administrative support to the Executive Director, and contribute to the efficient operation of the organisation.
Duties
Processing
- Register student details on the ADAS custom database
- Produce certificates and licenses
- Liaise with Finance Officer to trigger invoicing
- Perform general office and administrative duties
LMS and IT support
- System monitoring of site cloud hosting account
- Administrative support for Moodle administrators, content developers & ADAS staff
- Liaising with ADAS staff and external IT consultants for resolution of issues and outsourcing of advanced IT tasks
- Software and custom updates, including documentation of customisations
- Communicate all changes and updates with ADAS staff
- Backup of databases
- ADAS LMS user and site admin documentation creation and maintenance
- Liaising with external web developer and Office 365 network manager.
General skills and experience
- Ability to work systematically and attention to detail

- Ability to work cooperatively within a small team
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
- General office skills including using a printer, filing, and electronic file management
IT skills and experience:
- Data entry and software skills for LMS and/or student management systems
- Tech troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues in user-friendly language to non-technical end users.
- Solid understanding of basic computer functions and the ability to support others
- Understanding of web hosting and basic server administration, database management, system monitoring and training
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, PHP
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities
Desirable (but not essential) experience:
- Website management experience including maintenance, backup, restore, email hosting, and control panel experience
- Experience working in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector
- Moodle administration experience
- 1+ years of experience in a technical support environment and/or online training or web developer role

Please note: while working from home can be accommodated on occasion, this position is not designed for routine remote work. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the ADAS office located in Dunoon, NSW.
