Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Finance Officer to join our team. As the Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our financial management systems and processing day to day financial requirements as directed by the management team.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Complete daily bookkeeping and Reconciliation of accounts.
- Processing of Accounts Receivable.
- Maintain and manage Debtors
- Processing of Accounts Payable.
- Processing monthly statements.
- Manage Purchase Orders for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Processing of weekly Payroll.
- Maintain, check, and electronically file job sheets
- Quoting and assisting in daily schedule updates.
- Monthly IAS and BAS Lodgements.
- Monthly Payroll Tax Lodgements.
- Monthly Superannuation Lodgements.
- Monthly reporting to Management.
- Complete Credit Account Applications.
- Regularly liaise with mine sites, personnel, the operations team and management.
- All EOFY adjustments and tax preparation in liaison with Accountants.
- Maintain Business Asset Register for tax purposes.
- Manage business bank accounts and cash flow.
- Manage business insurances including WorkCover, Public Liability and Equipment.
- Liaise with Banks for account maintenance, staff credit cards, asset purchases and financing.
- On-call after hours support to staff on a rotating roster.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting/Finance, including Bachelor of Accounting, Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years Accounting or Bookkeeping experience within a similar role essential.
- Experience in working with Xero Accounting Software essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive.
- Experience in the mining industry desirable.
- Experience in Deputy Scheduling Software beneficial.
