Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.
Reporting directly to the Mining Systems Coordinator, the Mine Monitoring & Control Officer (Dispatch) is responsible for supporting the Mining Systems Coordinator in managing dispatching and monitoring functions associated with the Mine Monitoring & Control systems.
In this role you will:
- Operate on a 7/7 rotating day and night roster
- Contribute to maximising productivity based on priorities and plans by controlling haul truck allocation to loading units
- Coordinate between mining and maintenance teams to minimise disruptions to production
- Optimise fleet allocation to achieve the mine plan
- Drive system performance improvements
About you:
- Proven dispatch experience
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Thorough understanding of mining processes and Mine Monitoring & Control systems
- Value for process and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to analyse data and interpret communications and directions
