Affinity Electrical Technologies and Arrow FM are locally owned electrical contractors and part of the AET Group. We are currently seeking a dedicated finance-oriented person to join our group.
You will be responsible for ensuring solid financial stewardship across projects and work in progress while assisting in the successful completion of these works.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Monitoring financial performance and coordinating work in progress meetings internally
- Monitoring and approving project expenditure against budget
- Coordinating monthly projects claims and client invoicing.
- Reconciling payment summaries from clients
- Management reporting including variance analysis and forecasting
- Calculating WIP adjustments for end of month journals
- Use and maintain our job management system called simPRO
- Monitor tasks performed by the administration team.
- Provide back-up support for the financial accounting team
- Work with PM's to achieve project deliverables
- Other project and administration duties as required
The successful applicant will work closely with senior management including the CFO and Managing Directors and have the opportunity to learn and be involved in many aspects of the business including OH&S, finance, sales and HR.
To be successful in this position, you would ideally have or be working towards accounting qualifications or have previous bookkeeping experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills, an eye for detail, understanding of business concepts and good communication skills are a must.
