City of Newcastle (CN) is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our growing team within Civic Services which comprises two heritage listed venues – the magnificent Civic Theatre and Newcastle City Hall, and associated functions business also spanning the Fort Scratchley Function Centre and other locations. This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 21 hours per week. Additional hours may be available on occasion per business needs.
As the Finance Officer, you will provide practical financial support to the Civic Services business unit including financial reconciliation and weekly processing of live performance settlements, financial reporting and analysis and assistance with budget development. You will also play a key role in advising on best practice for internal financial processes and you will support the team with a focus on continual improvement.
