With so much going on, Marnong Estate is on the hunt for a hospitality focused Finance Officer to join the finance team.
About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Officer will be responsible for providing effective finance support to the business operation - specifically in the accounts payable & receivable, banking, and the financial accounting function.
As this business is relatively young, assisting in the implementation of new procedures will also be a key feature of this role.
About you
The successful candidate will be confident using XERO, exposure to POS systems and have strong Excel Skills. You will have some practical experience in a finance department where you have honed a sharp eye for detail. You will also be a self-starter who can effectively manage multiple deadlines. Experience in the hospitality industry, either FOH, BOH or finance is desirable.
This role is perfect for someone who loves to jump straight in and get their hands dirty.
Duties and Responsibilities
As the Finance Officer, you will be assisting and/or managing:
- Weekly and monthly financial reporting
- End of year reporting
- Implementation of new accounting systems & reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Statutory reporting
- Accounts payable & receivable
- Weekly bank and credit card reconciliations
