Oz Airports specialises in providing staff to support airport upgrades and airport maintenance projects across Australia. We currently employ in excess of 45 Aerodrome Reporting and Works Safety Officers.
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our high performing team. This position is part time for 2-3 days per week and is a hybrid work from home model.
Your tasks and responsibilities
You will be a detail-orientated professional who is focused on delivering results in a timely manner.
- Daily book keeping of accounts receivable.
- Month End Reporting.
- All year end financial requirements and liaising with external auditors.
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and Payroll tax.
- Ensure monthly and annual reconciliations are accurate and reliable.
- Management of fixed assets.
- Maintenance of Insurances.
- Weekly cashflow reporting.
- Systematic follow up on outstanding overdue debts.
- Continuous improvement of processes.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Your skills and experiences
- Prior experience in a similar role and the ability to work independently (work from home).
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, in particular advanced Excel skills for budgeting and reporting work.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to follow set procedures.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with customers.
- Exposure to other Finance functions (Accounts Payable, Payroll etc.).
- Experience with Xero preferred.
- The ability to hit the ground running with minimal training beyond company induction.
