The Opportunity
We have a current vacancy for a full-time Finance Officer to join the team, based in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial results. This role will involve working closely with the Finance Manager and other team members to maintain financial records, process transactions, and provide support for reporting activities.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reconcile bank statements and follow up where needed.
- Assist in month end tasks and the preparation of financial reports, including weekly, monthly and annual financial reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering and analyzing data.
- Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Monthly calculation of customer rebates.
- Provide assistance to the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams when required.
- Support of the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable experience in a similar field
- Excellent selling and negotiation skills
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
- Must be computer literate. Experience with Zoho, Phocas, Savvi or Fresh is advantageous
- Team player.
