About the opportunity
The Senior Technical Administrator (FMIS) reports to the Section Manager Business Systems and is responsible for managing the systems administration function of the TechnologyOne Financial Management Information System (FMIS), ensuring integration with CASA systems, maintaining functionality and useability for business needs. The role is also responsible for the oversight and management of day-to-day functions of the FMIS, supporting business areas with queries, troubleshooting system issues and escalating issues to the vendor, as necessary.
The role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the FMIS in support of business owner requirements, ensuring the system operates efficiently and is effectively maintained. In collaboration with key stakeholders, this role will coordinate software releases with the vendor, conduct configuration changes and perform testing to ensure system functionality is maintained, ensuring seamless integration with other CASA systems.
The Senior Technical Administrator (FMIS), under broad direction, is responsible for the following:
- Manage the FMIS Support team, including permanent staff, contractors and consultants.
- Manage changes in accordance with other CASA IT processes in place such as Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management and Testing processes; including but not limited to liaising with the vendor to coordinate version upgrades and conducting testing of the FMIS and interlinked/dependent software.
- Manage and support of the FMIS, assisting business areas and troubleshooting technical issues, providing level 1, 2 and 3 support, as required:
o Level 1 - develop support material for level 1 support staff.
o Level 2 – provide support, incident and problem management for FMIS queries.
o Level 3 - escalate and coordinate technical issue resolution with the vendor.
- Manage various FMIS interfaces and integrations with multiple CASA systems, including but not limited to the Medical Records System (MRS), European Aviation Processing System (EAP), Microsoft (MS) Identity Management system (MIMs) and Aurion.
- Identify, develop and implement changes to the FMIS that will improve the quality, timeliness, consistency and usability of financial information and reporting.
- Manage and document system issues, communicating both with internal stakeholders and the vendor as issues progress and ensure these are followed through to a full and complete resolution.
- Ensure full documentation and standard operating procedures exist to support the FMIS and any enhancements. This includes user guides, procedures and documentation sufficient for audit purposes.
- Assist with audit requests both in a Finance and an IT capacity.
- Create and maintain financial reports and dashboards.
- Manage the workload for external consultants for BAU and small project work.
- Make recommendations to business areas based on expertise, system functionality and upcoming system features and coordinate application updates, changes and enhancements.
· In collaboration with stakeholders, develop strategies, forward workplans and a roadmap of system enhancements and functionality to meet future business needs.

Our ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in administration and management of an FMIS System (TechnologyOne or similar) including conducting configuration changes and enhancements in a similar sized commercial or government environment.
- High level written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including business personnel, ICT staff and vendors.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting information technology systems and solving complex technology issues.
- Experience implementing, designing and managing FMIS interfaces and integration with multiple systems.
