Job Description
Our growing Corporate Finance team is seeking a suitably qualified Financial Accountant to join the team and specialise in representing the interests of national and multi-national clients.
Based in our CBD office and reporting to the Financial Controller, this key role is responsible for producing accurate and timely accounting information for our Corporate Finance team.
You will successfully achieve this by:
- Maintaining and performing daily bank reconciliations.
- Actively working with the team and wider business to perform Accounts Receivable core functions including performing cash allocations, timely clearance of unmatched / unallocated receipts.
- Preparing month end journals for cost and revenue accruals.
- Managing the revenue reporting process and revenue recognition compliance.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reports.
- Understanding of GST and FBT implications of accounting transactions and review correctness of expense coding for account allocation, GST input tax credit and FBT charge.
- Partner with corporate finance team on audit / ad-hoc queries.
Qualifications
To meet the challenge of this busy role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Working towards or completed CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills are required; SUN system experience is beneficial.
- Ability to build and foster key relationships, a flexible attitude in terms of changing work requirements and your desire to work in a highly team orientated environment.
