The Responsibilities
- Processing accounts payable (client’s withdrawals)
- Extracting and reconciling data from a Trading System.
- Daily allocation and receipting of payments
- Maintaining records on an Accounting Software and Trading System
- Investigations and dispute resolution
- Monitoring accounts for any irregularities
- Assisting in general financial management and analysis
- Daily cash reconciliations
- Assist in month end reporting including journals, balance sheet, reconciliation's, variance analysis
- Assisting the annual audit, taxation and statutory reporting obligations including BAS, FBT etc
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate staff shortages, knowledge and skill transference within the broader team
- Ad hoc analysis, reporting and finance related tasks
The Qualifications and Experiences:
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven proficiency in Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables, Macro, etc)
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Xero
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years’ related experience preferred
