About the Opportunity

An effective and efficient finance function is key to the future strategy of the Bank. We are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Accountant with 3-5 years of practical experience within a finance function to provide a full range of support to the Finance Manager, Head of Financial Reporting and Head of Business Planning and Analysis as they deliver on the strategy for the Finance Department.

Reporting to the Head of Business Planning and Analysis, you will operate across a wide range of finance activities, including:

• Assist with weekly and monthly management reporting as required
• Coordinating and preparing key reconciliations
• Assisting with the execution of accounts payable
• Assist with the preparation of month end journals, accruals, group reporting and timely payment of FBT, GST and other tax obligations
• Assist with the projects within the finance department and provide ad hoc support as required

About You

We are seeking someone who has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Finance/Commerce Degree (or related professional services discipline)
• 3 + years’ experience in within Accounting/Finance, preferably in financial services/audit
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
