The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will play a crucial role in gathering and monitoring financial data, preparing accurate financial statements, and controlling the organisation's finance and accounting methods, practices, and procedures. You will work closely with the Controller and CFO to forecast costs and revenues and manage tax payments, audits, and statutory reporting.
You will also ensure compliance with accounting standards, prepare financial assessments and records, and provide information to senior management to make informed business decisions, ultimately improving organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation & review monthly accounts and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure accounting, financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes.
- Coordinate the fixed asset register and ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
- Formulate and administer approved general accounting practices and procedures throughout the company.
- Participate in preparing annual sales, expense & capital budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor, review and maintain the general ledger accuracy and structure.
- Ensuring accurate and timely tax payments and compliance with tax regulations as required.
- Handling financial close processes at the end of each year.
About You:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role and be commercially savvy.
- Qualification in CPA or equivalent.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and be a collaborative team player.
- Be able to take a proactive leadership role in ensuring good internal control and self-governance through review of procedures and internal audit.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
