Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant | South Brisbane | Up to $130,000 + Super | PermanentCore Talent are partnering with a leading business who operate across multiple sectors and continue to grow by acquisition. Working from their head office you will join a small friendly finance team. What sets this business apart is that they truly have a family feel to their business, despite their growth, and they boast impressive staff tenures of up to 20 years' service with the organisation. This role would suit a Financial Accountant who enjoys working within a smaller team and being exposed to a range of responsibilities in a hands-on position.Based at their head office site, you will be:

• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for all business entities
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Cashflow forecasting
• Posting journals, accruals, and maintaining fixed asset registers
• Preparing BAS/GST and tax compliance
• Assisting with the monthly board report
• Assisting with statutory financial statements
• Monthly and annual Payroll Reconciliation processes including PAYGW, Super, Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation, and covering for payroll where needed (experience not essential)

To be successful, you will be:CA/CPA qualified or working towards this. You will need a minimum of 2 years' experience with financial accounts, have a strong technical accounting skill set and should be an adaptable person who enjoys working in a team environment, and supporting your colleagues to deliver. We are looking for an IT savvy individual with experience working with ERP systems and strong MS Excel skills.
