About the Role

Based in our National Service Centre, situated in our newly established office in South Brisbane, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team on a six-month contract basis.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the primary purpose of the Financial Accountant role is to assist with financial accounting, compliance activities, reporting and analysis for the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with month end processing
• Intercompany account reconciliations
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Reconciliations of general ledger, balance sheet and bank accounts
• Tax and compliance: BAS, FBT, and GST
• Preparation of payroll tax returns
• Assist in maintaining appropriate processes, procedures and internal controls as required

About You

For this role, you will need to have:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, qualified CA/CPA preferred
• 5+ years in a similar commercial environment
• Competent in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
• Experience working in a National Retail/Distribution business
• Excellent people and time management skills
• Experience in us the of large ERPs, Pronto experience desirable
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to make sound business decisions based on the facts
