EQUANS ANZ is looking for a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing the technical skills and expertise to deliver the EQUANS Group’s internal and external financial accounting and tax compliance and reporting obligations.
Role overview
- Delivery of internal and external group reporting obligations in a timely manner and are in accordance with applicable accounting and reporting requirements, prescribed policies, and processes of EQUANS Group
- Working across the business to develop and implement policies and procedures that result in AASB compliance and EQUANS Group accounting policies Executing month-end and year-end close process for non-operating business units, processing period close journals
- Support Direct and Indirect Tax (GST, FBT, Payroll taxes) returns and filings Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations as allocated on the reconciliations register
- Provide accounting analysis, validation, and advice in relation to business transactions and anticipated transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles to the various business units across the EQUANS Group

Key skills & Experience required
- Relevant industry and other professional qualifications (full memberships) e.g., CA, CPA, CIMA
- Tertiary degree in relevant discipline
- Background in charted accounting or experience in similar accounting roles with exposure to multinationals or global corporations with a core business in a multi-service, facilities management & maintenance business
- Demonstrated experience in financial close process and reporting, reviewing, interpreting, and presenting financial data to support decision making
- Advanced Excel skills including handling big data, adept with accounting planning and reporting systems e.g., ADAPTIVE, PRONTO, GP and MYOB (preferred)
