About the role
To provide support to the Finance team with all finance functions plus support across the greater WVPHN team. This role will assist the Finance department to process all financial accounting tasks and build technical skills to assist with all related finance projects.
Hybrid/working from anywhere model, with preference for candidates based in Ballarat (or Geelong) due to some office attendance required for training and other duties, as needed. Occasional travel to other locations for all staff days and/or training also required.
Duties include:
- Responsible for end of month journals and accruals in relation to payroll entries and all expenditure.
- Assist with leave liability and other reports at month end and year end.
- Assist with Technology One (T1) project, including aligning all financial manual data to the software for implementation.
- Assist and implement COA, delegation, user set ups, reconciliations, data input and analysis of data including all subledgers into the general ledger.
- Assist the Business Leads with budgets, forecasts, and flow of financial information within software.
Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in commerce or business with a CPA/CA or in process of actively finalising
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, mainly Excel (Word, Excel and outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in Technology One or similar financial software highly regarded but not essential
Employment requirements:
- Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
- Evidence of current COVID-19 vaccinations
- Working rights in Australia (visa, permanent resident, citizen)
