This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Accountant to join a fast-growing business with stable revenues and recent acquisitions. This role will support the Group accounting function and play a key role in timely month-end completion, related reconciliations, and reporting.
This is a broad role focusing on accounting and compliance within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. There is plenty of career progression on offer suited to a CA/CPA qualified/part-qualified individual coming from professional services or with 3-5 years' corporate experience. Ideally, you'll have an improvements mindset, display significant initiative, and have great prioritisation and time management skills.
The Challenge
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and posting of month end related journals
- Maintaining daily/weekly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing timely and accurate month end reconciliations, including reconciliations between operating and financial systems
- Maintaining fixed asset register and related reconciliations
- Supporting timely lodgment of BAS and other tax and payroll related compliance
- Supporting preparation of reporting for the Board and banking partners
- Supporting timely preparation and submission of quarterly and annual financial reports
- Actively participating and supporting with the audit process and statutory accounts
- Maintaining financial systems, automating and improving processes and supporting with development and maintenance of internal controls
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- A relevant tertiary accounting qualification
- Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification (or near completion)
- 3-5 years’ relevant accounting experience, coming from professional services and/or corporate experience
- Solid interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft products, particularly Excel
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills
