We currently have 2 roles available for experience Financial Accountants - 1 within our Health business, and 1 without our Hygiene business

About the role

Embark on an enriching journey as a Financial Accountant - a role that offers more than just numbers. You will be instrumental in constructing a full-picture narrative of our company's financial health.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide control and overview of all aspects of financial accounting, cashflow management and statutory reporting.
  • Month end responsibilities including preparation of month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and internal reporting requirements.
  • Manage treasury on period-end cash requirements, deposit placement and general cashflow needs, including providing weekly cashflow reports to Group Treasury and reviewing periodic Treasury accruals and reconciliations
  • Be a proactive resource in process improvement initiatives through having an enquiring mind that is able to challenge accepted principles and focus on adding value to the business.
  • Provide support for Below COP overheads including analysis of variances and preparing quarterly forecasts/annual plan.
  • Involved in preparation of statutory accounts and tax compliance obligations.
  • Initially, provide assistance in the cash forecasting process, with a view to taking on this responsibility in the medium term.
  • Prepare all the relevant data for the completion of the annual statutory audit including preparation of the statutory accounts, tax compliance and obligations
  • Ensure company practices comply with the group accounting policies
  • Implement control procedures in all areas of responsibility

The experience we're looking for

  • A relevant Business, Commerce or Economics degree together with 2 - 5 years accounting experience
  • Completion or near completion of formal qualifications in CA, CPA or CIMA
  • Products based industry experience preferable
  • Superior Excel skills
  • ERP computer experience, preferably SAP
