To enhance the performance of Adairs through the pro-active management of the finance function via timely and relevant reporting to all levels of the business, review of business processes and management of external stakeholder relationships.
How you will spend your day:
- Preparation of allocated monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and supporting schedules (Aus and NZ).
- Assisting with budgets and forecasts relating to bank charges, merchant fees, interest, and cash collections costs.
- Monitor and maintain the Fixed Asset Register and associated accounts.
- Oversee and manage all payments relating to leasing contracts including rental increases, promotional allowances and rebates.
- Monitor all leasing related accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Provide support and oversight on the banking function
- Ensure bank reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and banking-related queries are promptly addressed in accordance with business policies
- Management of gift card sales and redemptions as well as completion of all gift card related reconciliations
- Assistance with credit card, expense reimbursement and PO processing
What we’ll value in you:
- An Accounting Degree or Major
- Experience with an ERP system
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Previous Retail or FMCG experience is desirable
- Effective time management and achievement of deadlines
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Results driven
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
