AddressMovember is the global men’s health movement taking on three of the biggest health issues affecting men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re seeking a passionate Financial Accountantto join our Melbourne based team.
About the role
Movember has a responsibility to ensure the funds it raises are spent effectively in accordance with Movember’s values. The primary purpose of this role is to review the historical balance sheet restricted reserves and design a future process for ease of reconciliation, reporting and review and aligned to the impact strategy portfolios.
You will work alongside our finance business partners and the Head of Financial Control (to whom this role reports).
This position is being offered on a full time fixed term contract (6 months). You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Richmond office (2 days per week on site).
You’ll have the opportunity to
- Review restricted reserves in each entity/currency and on consolidation, with foreign exchange considerations
- Review and propose updates to the current processes to move from yearly updates to quarterly updates of the reserves
- Review and propose improvements to the Use of Funds model used for year end reconciliations
- Adapt current processes to the new impact strategy portfolios.
For this role, you’ll need
- CA/CPA/CIMA designation with at least 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- To be able to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team, including with colleagues overseas
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Adherence to the Movember’s values as well as possess a strong work ethic, collaborative and team spirit
