The key duties of the position include
- perform financial management functions including internal and external budget management, internal and external financial reporting and compliance activities
- lead and assist in ad-hoc reporting such as for Senate Estimates, Questions on Notice, and other external reporting
- actively contribute to the Finance Group's identified business priority projects and undertake specialist or technical research and analysis to achieve quality results
- develop and maintain working relationships to promote the smooth exchange of financial information with stakeholders
- contribute to briefs and advice for senior executives and the Minister
- identify and support financial business process analysis, requirements gatherings, business process mapping, process and financial systems improvement and innovation, financial budgeting and reporting
- manage staff and their priorities to deliver high quality and timely outputs.
