Our Financial Planning & Performance team within Corporate Services is currently recruiting a Financial Analyst to join their high performing team.
This role provides a high-level support with the preparation, analysis and delivery of in-scope portfolio financial reporting and assisting in the continual review of the Department’s accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Australian Accounting Standards and NSW Treasury policies and other relevant statutory requirements.
The position will support internal and external stakeholders in achieving and meeting deadlines and also providing in-depth analysis of our financials and performance. The role will apply strong analytical skills and provide expert advice and support to portfolio agencies on Prime delivery and will implement efficiencies.
About You
Successful candidates will ideally have a strong working knowledge of financial management processes and frameworks preferably in the NSW public sector. An understanding of the budget process and knowledge of Treasury Prime system would be highly regarded.
You will be self-starter with commitment to getting the job done and great attention to detail with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and interpret financial information.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate between various internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes is preferred.
Essential requirements
- Degree qualification in Commerce, Business or similar field, or extensive relevant practical experience.
