Job description

The Financial Coach provides support through Individual coaching sessions and facilitation of financial wellbeing workshops and webinars. The role is undertaken in person and online from GS offices, stakeholder colocation sites and work from home.

 

About The Role

  • Permanent, Full Time
  • SCHADS Level 5
  • Applications welcome from NSW, QLD, VIC, WA & TAS
  • Hybrid role - Working from home/Co-location with other GS office in your state and other stakeholder activities

 

About You

  1. A tertiary qualification or relevant work experience in Coaching, Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, Community Services, Financial Capability, Financial Counselling, Commerce, Finance or an equivalent field 
  2. Experience in community services, financial capability, financial counselling or similar.
  3. Experience in coaching conversation, coaching tools and client-directed approaches to goal achievement
  4. Experience in delivering presentations, workshops and webinars would be highly favourable
  5. Experience and understanding of domestic and family violence including financial abuse - people with a personal or professional understanding of the experience of financial abuse, domestic and family violence are strongly encouraged to apply
  6. Experience working with diverse groups and cultures, and understanding of intersectionality
  7. Experience in the application of trauma informed practice
  8. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, including an ability to quickly build rapport  
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team and maintain networks of partners and contracted service providers
