About the Role:
We seek an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance and Operations team in Brisbane. As the linchpin of financial control, you will ensure robust financial processes, compliance, and reporting.
You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, lead meticulous financial management, and contribute significantly to our growth trajectory.
Your Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Accounting Oversight: Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and payroll.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead processes and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and oversee annual audits.
- Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, optimise working capital, and maintain banking relationships.
- 10 years' of accounting and financial control experience, preferably in professional services.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting with professional CPA/CA qualifications.
- Expert proficiency in MS Excel, accounting, (Xero) and payroll software platforms.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in payroll management and understanding of modern awards and fair work legislation.
- Demonstrated energy, passion, initiative, accuracy and consistency.
