AddressReporting into the Group Financial Controller of this listed fund manager, you're responsible for leading a high performing team of five to deliver Financial Reporting for the group. You will be a the key finance point of contact for the business for all accounting queries.
You will assist with tax effect account accounting for the group, including reviewing tax returns and GST returns prepared by the external tax consultants. You will manage escalations from accounting support functions - Accounts Payable, Management Accounting, Payroll & Fund accountants.
In addition you will be required to prepare annual Financial Statements including audits in a timely and accurate fashion. You will also be required to manage the governance process regarding changes to accounting treatments which includes auditor review and Board approval – recent examples include revenue recognition, intangibles, contract assets and financial assets.
Finally you will manage the month end closing process including reviews, and ensure correct consolidations are completed at the various levels within the organization. You will also support external and internal Reporting including ASX announcements and CEO / CFO Reporting. You will also provide improvements to systems and process where possible to ensure efficiencies are achieved on a continuous basis.
To be considered for this role you will have a minimum of 10 years post qualified experience and relevant CA/CPA qualification. You will have extensive technical financial control and reporting experience, with extensive technical taxation experience. Previous experience managing the year end process for an ASX listed entity will be highly regarded.
