Who we’re looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller. You will have full responsibility for the accounting function. This role works closely with the CEO, COO and Director to provide clear and accurate financial information, streamline data systems and processes, and provide value-added analysis for multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
This hands-on role is responsible for and will perform all aspects of the Finance function including;
- Accounts payable and billing, accounts receivable
- Financial reporting
- BAS, GST, Tax reporting
- Payroll and WorkCover
- Period end: consolidation, reporting and analysis
- Financial budgeting and analysis, forecasting, systems and processes
- Internal audit
- Relationship with external accountants
- Responsible for practice systems and internal controls
- Setting, tracking and reporting KPIs
Essential Skills and Experience:
- CA/CPA qualification
- 3+ years' experience in a medium to large business in a similar role (Financial Controller or Financial Manager)
- Advanced proficiency with business systems and data management
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Previous experience with NetSuite an advantage
- High level of skills in Excel and Office
- Excellent attention to detail
- Hands on self-starter with strong levels of drive, enthusiasm, and initiative
- The ability to deal with ambiguity and articulate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
