As the Financial Counsellor, Small Business, you will conduct assessments with Small Business owners experiencing financial difficulties to analyse their financial position and identify options incorporating both the financial position of the Small Business and the impact this has on their personal financial situation. You will work collaboratively with Small Business owners and other service providers to determine appropriate strategies, referral pathways, advocacy and support.
This is a part time (0.8FTE), position until 30 June 2024.
What you will bring
You are a passionate individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients. To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
- A diploma in Financial Counselling OR relevant experience in community services with willingness to achieve diploma qualification.
- High levels of financial numeracy
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated capacity for advocacy and successful outcome negotiation
- Great working knowledge of both credit procedures used by major utilities and the legal processes involved in debt recovery and income maintenance
You must have full working right within Australia and possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year. You will also need to have a valid WA driver’s licence and own a reliable vehicle.

- $87,110 - $96,816 per annum [pro rata] + 11% super
- In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
