About the role
We have an opportunity available for an experienced Finance Manager – Planning & Analysis at Sydney Adventist Hospital. The primary focus of this role will be to be accountable for control of accounting methods, practices and procedures across the hospital including overseeing the financial planning, analysis and reporting activities.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role will be hands on in preparation of financial statements and other information to ensure appropriate partnering with the business unit leaders in decisions including costs, budgeting and hospital activities.
This role offers you the opportunity to work in an operationally fast-paced, hands-on environment while also working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- A true business partner and who develop strong and collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes
- Provide accurate and well executed reporting for business leaders
- Collaborate with leaders regarding financial initiative, risks, benefits and outcomes while providing guidance and recommendations for business improvements where required
Who we’re looking for
- Minimum of 4-5 years (post CA or CPA) accounting experience in a leadership role
- Proficiency in financial applications with good understanding of ERP systems, experience using JDE or similar is desirable
- Experience within a medium- large organisation managing a finance team, including payroll
- Experience within the healthcare sector is preferred (hospital setting desirable)
- Strong interpersonal skills with an authentic & respectful communication style
- Proven ability to be a business partner collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, senior executives and staff at all levels across the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to assess situations, consider solutions, make and communicate decisions and take appropriate action
