The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for lawyers who have a genuine interest in growing their experience and career in financial services with a well-established premier national team.
Working predominantly under Partner, Michael Anastas, you will have the opportunity to work with clients in Australia and overseas including the major banks, the largest mutual banks, payment service providers and other financial services conglomerates. The work involves some of Australia’s most well known household financial services brands assisting on matters across retail banking and credit, digital services and payments, major reform and remediation projects, licensing and prudential requirements, distribution and alliance partnerships, major transactions and innovative new product development.
We also participate in key industry and regulator committees and maintain regular opportunities for our team and clients to participate in thought leadership and networking amongst their peers. This is an amazing opportunity to work on top tier matters and collaborate with our prominent client base.
Skills and Experience
Skills and experience required for this role include the following:
3+ years PAE.
Experience across financial services regulation, banking and consumer credit law, payments regulation.
Strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
Work autonomously on matters.
Ideally based in Brisbane however for this opportunity the location of the successful candidate is flexible.
