How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
As our new Fire and Life Safety Tunnel Engineer, you will be a vital part of our Ground & Underground Engineering Team. Below are some of the things you will do in bringing ideas to life! Your role will include

• Assist with the planning, design and implementation of road tunnels, rail tunnels, surface and Provides discipline specific engineering expertise in feasibility and constructability reviews.
• Optimises engineering designs from a feasibility, and practicability perspective
• Enhances technical designs for safe, sustainable engineering and compliance
• Assist Aurecon’s Road and rail transport operator clients minimise operating costs by taking into consideration the changing use of a tunnel and recent developments in fire engineering and tunnel ventilation.
• Manages a team of engineers and other technical professionals and ensures efficient business operations.
• Participates in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and complex coordination
• Understands client’s business outcomes when problem solving

As well as experience in a Fire and Life Safety Tunnel Engineer role. Specifically

• Demonstrated technical expertise in the field of fire safety engineering
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in supporting a team and client management
• Chartership and affiliations relevant to fire safety engineering would be advantageous
