Fire Services Technician

In joining this company, you would be part of a team dedicated to providing the most competent and best customer service in the fire protection industry.
The role will require a customer focused person to work closely with co-workers to install, modify and test fire detection and evacuation systems.
Ideally you will have an interest in electro-technology and installation of cables and associated equipment.
About the role:

• Work with a team installing a variety of systems
• Wiring/connection of smoke detectors and warning speakers
• Accurately follow internal processes
• Complete service reports
• Use/update of job management system via IPad or IPhone

Requirements:
To be successful in this role you would also need the following demonstrated attributes:

• Keen learner that loves technology
• You will have a strong focus on customer service and a willingness to multi-skill and learn new aspects of fire protection.
• Strong communications skills
• Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hard working and be a self-starter / ability to work with little supervision.
• A mechanical or technical aptitude, tool and hand skills
• This active role also requires someone who is fit, agile and has no issues with climbing ladders for ceiling inspections etc. as required.
• In the selection process, you will also be required to consent to a police check for the role.

Desirable (but not required):

• Previous work as a Fire Technician is highly desirable
• Previous experience in related industries like telecommunications, IT or security systems could easily have a fit for this role, providing you with a unique opportunity to move into another occupation and acquire additional skills.
• Austel/Cabling licence
