We are a locally owned and operated business based in the Northen Territory with offices in Darwin & Alice Springs. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is happy to work in a team environment in our Darwin office.
Position
New opportunities have been created in the company to cater for our continued growth in the industry. We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitter/Technician with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience that can display a vast knowledge relating to various installed systems, replacement works and new installation works. In this role, you will be working with our team responsible for servicing & maintaining Fire Sprinkler suppression systems, Fire Detection & Evacuation systems throughout the NT Government and Commercial sectors.
Here’s a snapshot of your day:
- Routine inspection and testing of wet fire systems & hydrant pump sets in accordance with AS1851-2012.
- Conducting sprinkler flow testing.
- Repair, refurbishment and installation to existing wet fire systems.
- Provide solutions where investigations and recommendations are required to our customers assets and assist with internal quotation development.
- Coordinating, compiling and submitting the necessary paperwork to conform with internal policies.
- Commitment to the highest standards of business code of conduct, aligned with expectations on ethical behaviour according to company values.
- Complying with company and client HSEQ policies and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous Experience as a Sprinkler Fitter (tester/technician) in the fire industry.
- Sprinkler Fitting certificate (not mandatory but desirable).
- Sound Knowledge of Australian Standards – Installation and Testing.
- Current Drivers Licence, White Card & Ochre Card (or the ability to obtain).
- Working at Heights Card (not mandatory but desirable).
- EWP Licence (not mandatory but desirable).
- Be willing to undergo National Police Certificate checks.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
