Would you like to be part of Specialist Trailer Builders Pty Ltd t/a Osborne Motor Bodies, we operate from our location in Bassendean.
We are currently looking for a First Class Welder/ Metal Fabricator to join our team.
Qualifications & experience
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have at least 2 years' experience working in a similar role, as well as:
- Experience working for a manufacturing production line and understanding of processes.
- Experience in working for a vehicle body builder or vehicle manufacturing / repair environment
- Experience using both hand and air compressed power tools
- Strong fabrication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- High level of accuracy
- Self-Motivation and the ability to work autonomously
- Track record of quality workmanship
Additional duties will include:
- Grinding/sanding
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
- Ability to use and operate Hydraulic guillotine
- Ability to use and operate Hydraulic press
- Ability to MIG weld
Tasks & responsibilities
Undertaking building of new motor vehicle bodies and repairs to all vehicle body components, panels, frames, and door systems for state of the art emergency vehicles.
In this role you will be involved in the manufacturing of vehicles as well as fit vehicle components constructed from such materials as aluminium, steel, stainless steel, sealing and bonding materials.
The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration of $35.55 per hour plus super. You will be working Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm, with Friday work available at O/T rates from 6:30am - 12:30pm.
