Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Full-time Business Traineeship Opportunity
Do you have a passion for Customer Service and wanting to kick start your career as a banking customer advisor? This is your chance! Gain invaluable hands-on experience whilst completing a 12 Month Traineeship and Certificate III in Business.
Working within a local banking branch on Thursday Island, this is a real career start within a supportive environment. The successful trainee will have the opportunity to learn all about Customer Service within the banking sector whilst developing their Customer Service skills on the job.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in commencing a career within financial services sector.
What will you be doing?
As a business trainee you will learn and develop the skills to become a successful customer advisor. You will become the first point of contact for customers when they visit the retail branch.
Your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting customers with their enquires whilst providing a positive branch experience.
- Engage in needs-based conversations with customers.
- General banking and telling duties: money handling, facilitating transactions and ATM Maintenance.
- Coaching customers on self-service and digital banking.
- Assisting customers with opening and closing accounts, fraud and banking transactions.
What are we looking for?
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- A well-presented team-player with excellent work ethic
- Excellent communication skills and sound computer knowledge
- A reliable and punctual individual who demonstrates initiative
- Demonstrated ability in cash handling and/or Customer Service
- Satisfactory completion of a National Police Check
