About the role

The First Nations Education Programs Manager leads the deliver of the Beyond the Broncos mentoring and career transition programs for First Nations youth across QLD and northern NSW.

The role is accountable for the delivery of the Beyond the Broncos programs and building collaborative relationships and partnerships between the Brisbane Broncos and its stakeholders including schools, government, community, sponsors and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants and their families. Your responsibilities will include:

• Program management – lead, develop and deliver mentoring programs ensuring compliance and quality.

• Stakeholder management – maintain effective relationships with funding bodies and key stakeholders, protecting brand integrity and expanding partnerships.

• Leaderships & team management – develop and manage a team of Regional Program Leads, fostering a productive and compliant team environment.

• Monitoring, reporting and evaluation – oversee government contractual processes, monitor and report on program outcomes, and assist in proposal preparation.

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role you will have

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (management, career counselling, education or community services)

• Current drivers licence and Blue Card/WWCC

• Minimum four years’ experience in a similar role working with and understanding demands from a diverse demographic

• Experience in employment, education and/or mentoring program delivery.

• Proven track record of delivering successful program outcomes and achieving or exceeding targets.

• Demonstrated understanding of the issues impacting on First Nations youth and their educational outcomes

• Experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with First Nations communities

• Demonstrated experience in program coordination, report writing and delivery to achieve objectives.

• Demonstrated experience in leading a high performing team and/or a management position.
