Who you are

Are you passionate about creating positive change for First Nations people? Are you skilled at building relationships and engaging with communities? If so, an exciting opportunity is now available for a First Nations Senior Engagement Officer to join our First Nations Engagement Team.

What you’ll do

As a First Nations Senior Engagement Officer, you will make significant contributions to the UniSQ First Nations Engagement and Marketing Strategy and support a range of First Nations initiatives across the school, vocational education and training, community and industry sectors. You will also lead and deliver a development program to support UniSQ’s First Nations Student Ambassador’s while ensuring constructive feedback and essential coaching and development opportunities are provided.

What will help you succeed

  • An understanding of Australian First Nations perspectives as well as experience working with and communicating sensitively with First Nations people.
  • A Degree qualification as well as experience in engagement and outreach activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritise work activities in order to achieve high quality work outcomes.

This is an identified position and is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Salary: Total remuneration range $102,135 to $110,617 pa (includes salary range of $86,299 to $93,466 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
