Job Description: As a First Year Sheet Metal Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills in stainless steel fabrication under the guidance of experienced professionals. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in the metalworking industry and are eager to learn from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced stainless steel SHEET METAL tradesmen in various tasks related to fabrication, including cutting, polishing & welding stainless steel.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately produce stainless steel benches, exhaust canopies, hand rails and other products.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
- White Card
- Drivers Licence (manual)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good attention to detail and precision.
- Basic math skills.
- Prior experience or coursework in metalworking or related fields is a plus but not required.
