Position: Farm Hand
Location: Humpty Doo, NT
Start: October 2024 for 6 - 9 months.
Contract: Casual
We require 100 Farm Hands for work on a Fish Farm. The role will entail a variety of hands-on labouring work in the field as well as work in the packing shed.
Field duties include harvesting fish by pulling in nets, mending nets, feeding, cleaning tanks and tubs and moving fish. Packing shed duties include processing and packing fish, loading/unloading and cleaning.
The work you will be doing is hard and physically demanding. You must be physically capable of working on your feet for long periods at a time and be able to cope with repetitive manual labouring work.
You can expect to work 30 hours each week across a 7 day roster. You must be willing to work weekends to be considered for this role.
Hourly pay rate (Level 2) for a casual employee of $31.85/hour is in line with the Aquaculture Award [MA000114].
Onsite training will be provided to successful applicants and there is a potential to up skill based on performance.
