Hello, we are looking for something quite specific.
The ideal client is a female Disability Support Worker.
The client is quadruplegic due to an ABI. So we need all the basic care like dressing, showering, toileting, transfers, meds, cooking, etc.
However, he’s relearning to walk and fitness and health is a huge part of his life. We are looking for someone very fit who can work out with the client in his home gym, loves to workout and can then make a healthy post-workout plant based meal.
The client also has severe complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (cPTSD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 1, and has a condition where he’s unable to regulate his body temperature.
The shift hours are 6-10pm Sunday + sleepover from 10pm-6am that night, plus 6-10pm Monday evening + 10pm-6am that night.
• There is also options for 6am-12pm Monday and 6am-11am Tuesday, but these shifts aren’t mandatory.
The client requires the Support Worker to sleep in bed with him (the bed is a massive super king size bed). This is due to a CPAP, thermoregulation disorder, coupled with his quadriplegia and. cPTSD. The client has a Behavioral Therapist to manage his cPTSD. The client has night terrors and may need some appr physical touch and night time to calm, and/or administration of psychiatric medications, cannabis,Xanax, or ketamine.
A bonus for him is a Support Worker that is comfortable with voundary/appropriate cuddling whhen his PTSD is triggered/or his psychotro medications cause an ‘intense trip’, however this willl be prescribed by the Behavioral Therapist, and is also not mandatory for the position.
The main reason for this support is healthy eating, working out, walk the dog, and showering/toileting.
Of course, there may be some housework involved.
