Our client is a progressive engineering, metalparts designer, manufacturer and supplier based out of a state-of-the-art facility in Mt Isa.

The well-established business is entering an exciting growth phase in our 30-plus year history, and we are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our friendly team. Candidates with experience in a manufacturing and maintenance roles will be highly regarded.
As a Fitter and Turner/Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
- Operation of both a manual lathe and milling machine.
- Produce quality plastic and metal products that meet Quality Assurance standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Understand and interpret schematic diagrams and machinery manuals.
- Precision equipment utilisation – interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometres, verniers and dial indicators.
- Provide machinery maintenance and repair support to the workshop.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills/qualifications:
- Trade Qualification – Fitter and Turner/Machinist
- Experience in machining (manual lathe and milling machine)
- High level accuracy and attention to detail
- Sound machinery fault finding/diagnostic ability.
